Terms of Use
Last updated: January 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Calder Kitchen website, cookbooks, technique guides and online courses (together, the "Services"), operated by Calder VY, LLC ("Calder Kitchen", "we", "us"). Browsing the site or buying from us means you accept what follows. If any of it doesn't sit right with you, please don't use the Services.
1. Who can buy
You need to be at least 18, or to have a parent or guardian's permission, to buy from us. Placing an order confirms that what you've told us is accurate and that you're entitled to make the purchase.
2. Digital products
Cookbooks and guides arrive as downloadable PDF files. Courses are streaming video you watch in your browser. Once a file is delivered or a course unlocks, it counts as accessed for the purposes of our Refund Policy.
3. What you may and may not do with it
Buying a cookbook, guide or course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own household cooking and reference. You may not:
- Resell, redistribute or share purchased files with people outside your household
- Republish recipes, video or written material in bulk on other sites, apps or platforms
- Use our content to train, fine-tune or assemble a competing dataset or product
- Strip out or alter any copyright or attribution notice in a file
All recipes, photography, video and written material stay the property of Calder VY, LLC or its licensors.
4. The mailing list
If you join the list for the free starter pack, you can leave at any time using the link in any email we send. We don't sell your contact details — the Privacy Policy covers how we use them.
5. Prices and payment
Prices appear in the currency shown at checkout and can change without notice; what you pay is what was displayed when you completed the order. Payment runs through a third-party processor, and we don't store your full card details.
6. Not professional or medical advice
Our recipes and courses teach general home cooking. They are not a substitute for a doctor, a dietitian or an allergist. If you have a food allergy, a medical condition or a dietary restriction, read the ingredients yourself and speak to a qualified professional before relying on any recipe.
7. Limits on liability
So far as the law allows, Calder VY, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including how a dish turns out when you follow our instructions. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid us in the twelve months before it.
8. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Carrying on with the Services after a change means you accept the revised version. Material changes show up as a new "Last updated" date above.
